Vicky's miniature rose bush, which gets less miniature every year, comprises a bouquet in itself each year, and this year it's particularly pretty so I'm posting a few pictures behind the lj cut. We've no idea what kind it is; if anybody out there can enlighten me I'd be most appreciative.

Here's the whole thing, about twice or three times the size it was when we put it in.

Here's a closeup, showing mostly blooms

And this one shows more of the leaves.

No idea what it is, but it's probably more than one kind (they're often sold that way). Lovely thing, though!

BTW, miniature only refers to the flowers. I have a "Climbing Miniature" here.

Aha, that explains it. It's just generally referred to as Vicky's Rosebush around here. Though she now has another one living in a pot. I hope it can stay there - I've no place to put it around here. Heck, I'm still trying to figure out where to get the ivy I wound up with when they raffled off the potted plants at a church social. (I should KNOW not to take one of those slips of paper they pass around...)

Meanwhile, the artichokes have burst forth in all their splendor. I think I'll let the biggest one bloom and eat most of the rest. :)
