OK, I'm impressed - we've reached the stage where you can be arrested for successfully completing your homework. Pheh...

Everyone's in a panic because the last person who turned in an alarming essay for his English class went ahead and killed 32 people.

Everyone wants someone to Do Something, but Not That Something In Particular.

I love the fact the teacher bascially said "anything goes, fear no penalty!" Love it when people lie to the young. Not. 99.9% of teenagers who write will write something angsty, violent, and sexy at some point. And only .0001 of them will do something later. So, not the best diagnostic tool, I'd say.

Re: Ayup
I begin to think that keeping my diary in tengwar way back when was a better idea than I thought. Not that I can read it either without cryptoanalysis, these days, but what little I remember suggests this is probably just as well. :)

Mind you, I have to be pretty stressed out to regularly keep a diary anyway. When I'm not, I've got other things to think of. Haven't really felt like keeping one since the mid '70s when I first got involved with niall_shapero anyway; I think of my LJ as conversation with other people, and at that you see how often I post...

BTW - CaliFur is this weekend (and I'm on the concom - Lady Emma Weiscatt, Henchman in Charge of Minion Recruitment, i.e. gopher ghoddess.) After which I will once again have time to work on "Entirely too Slithy" and things like that. Wonder what my HS English teacher would've thought of that one? (Especially since that would have been five or six years before Dungeons and Dragons even existed.)

what a world we live in *shakes head*

look at the students background, striate A student and no mention of any issues with other students or anything. so its no like it was someone who was showing any warning signs or anything. just stupid over paranoid school staff.

oh, and i look forward to seeing you at Califur this weekend. yay for those of us who are insane enough to be on staff :P
