What's on your computer?

Not in the computer as software, but physically sitting on it? At the moment, my flatscreen monitor has a fuzzy spider, a blue toy car with wings on the back courtesy of a recent LOSCON bid, and a pink plastic jellyfish sitting on top of it, while the tower has a stuffy octopus, a multicolored bodice frog, a snake dragon with red wings, a stack of scratch paper and a photo of Kelly Freas. The box that controls the speakers has a plastic 3D tortoise puzzle, and a Creative Publications 12 sided die on it. The montor stand has a lot of random clutter on it at the moment - permanent residents include a windup lobster and a green pen with a snake on it.

Mine is downright sterile, by comparison.
There's a Zipdrive and a USB External Hard drive setting on top of the tower, and that's all. There's clutter surrounding the monitor base (another flatscreen) but nothing actually ON it.

on the CPU, a pile of artwork and a Three Rivers Folklife CD, a CD of family photos, and the mike/headset for my Naturally Speaking software. On the subwoofer nearby, another pile of papers and a copy of Warmachine: Apotheosis, plus my purse, soon to be moved into my backpack. Under my flatscreen monitor, my driving glasses, a 500MB thumb drive, and my little digital camera. At work, Ep. 2 Obi-Wan defends Aragorn, my Linux CPU, while Darth Vader is leaping into the air on my WinXP box. :D

At home: Nothing on top of my CRT monitor, except maybe for a little dust. On the CPU (a mini-tower on the floor) I have a box of Kleenex (I've been down with a cold for the last few days), a letter from the Museum of Television & Radio in Beverly Hills (which I visited last Wednesday, before I caught the cold), a couple of CDRs, an empty Amoeba Music bag, and a spare Dell mousepad.

At the office: Nothing on top of the flatscreen monitor, but the ultra-small form factor Dell CPU on my desk has a black Pirate Devil Duckie mounted on it, a gift from a lasfs member WINOLJ.

Does next to my monitor count? (they wouldn't fit on top)

Three glazed clay butterbugs. Two with Vorkosigan livery (one queen, one smaller), one Glorious.

Purchased from Rebecca Swisher on the Bujold list. Worth every penny.

Wow, I'd love to see those. Has she got pictures up anywhere?

My Scanner, and a set of headphones.

Just two things; a bug-juice-stained Beanie Baby beetle (I write debuggers for a living) and a dusty old St Louis Cardinals visor.

Since I posted this, a Micro Machines model of Babylon 5 has been added to the top of the monitor.
