Update on Inksome

Finally gave up on The Yiddish Policemen's Union. Oh well. (BTW - I have made posts in that journal I've not mentioned here, should anybody care to go look at 'em.)

Oddly, I had the opposite reaction. I loved it, but then I was coming off just listening to The Adventures of Cavalier and Clay, which was actually much bleaker IMO.

Completely unrelated to your post (apologies?) But I just spent a happy hour procrastinating through the "childish ballads" pages on your website and wanted to say a quick 'thanks' - I was starting to think I'd made up the "she sat on a hillside" one (although it turns out what I should have been searching for was the "The tombstone fell over and -- squish squash! -- he died!" part, if only I'd remembered that line earlier!)

Cheers,

Glad you liked it! I've been collecting 'em for years.

For anybody confused here, I've collected children's songs (of the kind composed BY the kids, not written for them by adults) for years; you can find the current collection here. I'm always delighted to get more.
