Cereal construction

I'm currently watching this on the Food Network. It's a competition where people are building skylines of various cities, including New York. Out of cereal (mostly Rice Krispies from the looks of some of it.) With all the serious stuff going on lately, it's kind of relaxing to contemplate Baltimore built of Rice Krispies, or New York formed from sugar.

Meanwhile, Gustav has passed and judging by the news, NO is still standing... now if only the levies continue to hold.

There's also a time limit for actual construction. One guy misunderstood the instructions, and had to remove a wooden dowel from the middle of a tower in order to comply with the rule of non-edibles being non-structural only. Happily it continued to stand, as part of the Baltimore Harbour (water composed of glass-like melted sugar tinted greenish blue.)

There's something just plain hilarious about seeing a tower composed of one really BIG Rice-Krispies bar...:)
