Moving right along

Bought a permanent Inksome account, relevant post here. Which is not to say I'm leaving LJ so worry not. I do have some invites if anybody's interested.

FWIW I intend to remain on both unless LJ manages to shoot itself in the foot with a flare pistol once too often and goes up in a ball of flame. Thus far Inksome has not manifested beta-test feeping creaturism leaping upon you without warning, public relations by Atilla the Hun, and similar infelicities of the sort that caused me to NOT buy a permanent LJ membership awhile back. (Leastwise their timing caught me on the right side of that transaction; if they'd waited a week it'd have been too late.)

What I'm doing at the moment is using Inksome for the serious stuff (book reviews/comments, essays and whatnot), and LJ for general natter. So I'm not really making an either-or decision.

In general popefelix's comments pretty much match my experience. And I do like the extra userpics - my LJ only allows 6 without my buying something, with the result that I have four special purpose icons, one for general use, and one for silly-mood general use, and am probably coming across as monotonous or unimaginative. Over on Inksome I've got everything from trampolining elephants to Cthulhu.
